If variety and challenge are attributes of your ideal job, then read on.   You will need experience with delivering local authority infrastructure projects, the water/wastewater industry or a utilities related role.

We are looking for a person who holds either a Diploma in Engineering (Civil), NZCE or similar or a Bachelor of Engineering.  If you have an open and inquisitive mind, can think through a range of issues and have sound judgment, then delve further.

This is an exciting time to join a small, rural local authority.  The Council is in the midst of an unprecedented capital works programme, with a number of “once in a generation” projects being advanced.

Applicants must have a permanent right to live and work in New Zealand.

Our district will provide you and your family a rural city lifestyle unrivalled by most.  Our community and recreational facilities are exceptional.   With lakes, ski fields, national parks and major urban centres within driving distance, it is a wonderful place to live.

Visit for the job description and apply online.  Applications close with the Human Resources Manager, Susan Jones, at 5.00pm on Friday 10 December 2021.
