City Assets are the proud custodians of an extraordinary range of infrastructure, including transport systems, drainage networks, and captivating foreshore facilities. With over $14.4 billion worth of assets under our care, we're entrusted with maintaining and enhancing vital components of our city's landscape.
As the Coordinator Lakes and Waterways, you will be at the forefront of our efforts leading planning, operations and management of our remarkable assets. Leading a team of highly skilled professionals you'll serve as the Asset Custodian Representative, providing engineering asset management services and advocating for our portfolio in accordance with established policies. Your scope of responsibility encompasses Lakes, Waterways, Flood Mitigation, and Telemetry, offering you an exciting array of challenges and opportunities to make a lasting impact.
This is not your ordinary leadership position. It's a chance to ignite innovation and leave your mark on an extensive network of 3200 kilometres of roads, 2500 kilometres of drainage pipes, 65 boat ramps, 9 jetties, 26 pontoons, 3 dams, 138 lakes, 400 kilometres of constructed canals, and 52 kilometres of pristine beaches. With every project you oversee, your expertise will be instrumental in identifying sustainable service standards to enhance and actively shape the landscape and the experiences of those who call our city home.

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you:

Your skills and experience should include:
- Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Civil or Coastal/Marine)
- Extensive experience in Coastal, Marine and Waterways Engineering
- C Class (or higher) drivers licence
- Construction Induction (white) card
- Engineering Registration with Professional Engineers Queensland as RPEQ.
