About The Opportunity
Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking Plant Operators to join our Civil Works team at Kalkie Depot. These roles support the construction and maintenance of Council's road, drainage and civil infrastructure across the region.
You'll operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently while contributing to projects that support our growing community. This is a hands-on role with variety, teamwork and the opportunity to make a visible impact every day.
About You
You're a practical, safety-focused operator who takes pride in quality work and contributing to a strong team culture. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience and competencies operating a range of plant and equipment such as rollers, front end loaders, backhoes and similar plant in a civil construction or maintenance environment
- Heavy Combination (HC) licence - preferred and highly regarded in the selection process
- Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card.
- Working in Proximity to Traffic (Awareness Parts 1 & 2) Certification or willingness to attain
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with a variety of internal and external parties
- Ability to work outside normal working hours as required
Additional relevant tickets, plant competencies and experience working in a Council or similar environment will be well regarded.
