- Senior Asset Engineer - Public Domain & Foreshore

Permanent, Full-time | $113,332.82 - $131,313.08 + 12% superannuation | Hurstville
About the Role
This is a key leadership role reporting to the Head of Asset Planning, responsible for shaping and delivering Council’s Public Domain Guide and driving the long-term strategic management of foreshore and public domain assets. You will lead the planning and delivery of initiatives that enhance our town centres and open spaces, including streetscape improvement programs and public domain plans, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable and financially sustainable. Working collaboratively across Council and with external stakeholders, you’ll develop asset strategies, lifecycle and renewal programs, and help create vibrant, welcoming and accessible community spaces that meet evolving community needs and expectations.
What We Offer
- Permanent, Full-Time role – 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $113,332.82- $131,313.08 per annum plus 12% superannuation

What We Are Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, architecture, project management or equivalent experience in a related field
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Demonstrated experience in asset management and project management
- Understanding of risk allocation and the management of WHS in the workplace
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and understanding of EEO policies and procedures
- Demonstrated experience with forward works programming, financial control and budget preparation
- Knowledge of latest trends and techniques in the management of assets
- Demonstrated experience in implementing projects to deliver place based, community focused objectives, including public domain guides and plans
- Experience in cross collaborative projects and forming strategic partnerships internally and externally
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise, negotiate, influence, and consult with a range of stakeholders face to face, digitally and in written communication
- Demonstrated problem solving, lateral and creative thinking and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a united, collaborative environment whilst consistently displaying integrity, accountability, respect, and honesty
- Proven success implementing significant change initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to EEO, WHS and ethical practice principles
